Sarah Francis MBACP

Psychotherapy and Counselling

I’m so glad you are reaching out. Perhaps you’re a little unsure about who can help? Gently, I will nurture a relationship with you built on safety, where you feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways.

It is my privilege to walk with you through your fears, challenges and hurts, and help you experience increased awareness and restoration. I see therapy as an opportunity to help diminish pain and suffering, cope with the challenges of life and experience increased peace, meaning, acceptance and aliveness.

Using a deeply relational and evidence-based practice, together with affective neuroscience, I aim to support your innate drive towards flourishing. My practice draws on many different approaches but is strongly informed by my ongoing training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

With a professional background in health and social care, I am trained in integrative counselling and psychotherapy, and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have had additional training in trauma, emotional processing, and attachment based theory and practice.

Counselling and psychotherapy

When feeling hurt, worried or confused it can feel helpful to have someone who will listen deeply and support to connect with, and understand, yourself without judgement. This can be focused on a particular current challenge or more deeply held pain, and can offer meaningful work in the short and longer term.

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £45.00

These sessions can be done face to face in my office in East Belfast, or via zoom or telephone.

Workshops

I am available to come and facilitate some work with your team in growing in emotional intelligence and health.

Previous workshops include:

  • Understanding personality and team
  • Developing emotional intelligence
  • Finding calm – working with anxiety
  • Growing resilience.
